Week 26: Those messy tapers!

The drywall tapers, the messiest trade (it's just the job of taping that's messy, not the guys :-)), were in this week to start the two week process of taping.  Luckily, our hydro service got connected (gas is nowhere in sight!) so we were able to rent two large electric heaters to get the house hot enough to dry.

Week 25: Drywall installed

Drywall started and finished this week!  With a crew of 4 or 5, Alvarino's guys make short but careful work of the installation.

Week 24: Hello! The front is taking shape

Thom completed the front stone work this week.  Looks great! We also manged to finally get our water service upgrade poked into the basement of the house.... that took a while to work it's way through the city bureaucracy. The last thing we did this week was to get the driveway prepped.  We won't get the final paving done until the spring, but this gives us a good, clean base to work from over the winter.

Week 23: Foam week

Everest insulation turned the house walls from cool masonry and wood interior, to warm foam insulated walls throughout the house this week.  Getting ready for drywall!
